Press Conference (Greece, 11.02.2003) 
Just after Open Gaze de France (semifinal) she returned to Greece and 
she talked to the cameras at the airport just before to anounce a press
 conference for the day before.

AIRPORT (10/2):
There were cameras on the airport and although she looked a bit tired, she was happy to hug her father, mother, brother and some other family members and she was given flowers and a kind of trophy, as well as a greek flag.

In the cameras, she said that she was very pleased to return at her home after being away for 2,5 months and she feels she is in great form and that she is extremely happy with what she has achieved so far. She also said that she is very tired and she just want to rest for a while and concentrate on her future performances in tournaments.

She was asked about Serena Williams and she smiled and said that she is unbelievable and she's playing in another level than all the others. She also characteristically said that she was smashed in their last meeting and that Serena did not really let her play at all. She was smiling though and
said that she hopes to play her again in the future.

All in all, she looked AMAZING (she was wearing a white jacket and her hair was loose)and said that she will hold a press conference tomorrow for all the reporters and all the questions etc.

PRESS CONFERENCE (11/2):
-"I had a a very tough couple of months with constant games, but the
important thing is that I played against the top players at the highest
level and I came out full of experiences".

-"I believe I have the respect of everybody on the circuit as a tennis
player and as a person as well. It is my honour to represent my country,
Greece, and I feel very proud of that".

-"I want to say a huge 'Thank You' to all the people who have given me
support and warmth, especially to the greek immigrants of abroad who come to
my games and support me and also to all the reporters who follow my career
and progress".

-"With the constant games I get tired a lot, I miss my family and my
country, but nevertheless it is my choice to live like that because I really
love what I do and I really do enjoy doing it".

She also said that she is in love with her rackets (meaning tennis in
general) and that makes up for her nostalgia for her family and the
incredibly tiring travelling around the world to play in several
tournaments.

Lena also will not play Doha cause she was feeling very tired, but she is
playing in Dubai next week and then three tournaments in the United States.

All in all, she was very happy with her progression and her results and
apart from the last game with Serena (she said that Serena 'smashed' her)she
is very pleased with everything.

She also mentioned a big problem which is the lack of sponsors, which makes
her life a bit hard, cause tennis life is demanding.
